A Week in My Life: Tuesday

On June 21, 2022 By Charlotte SteffensenIn A Week in My LifeLeave a comment

This morning I had a hard time getting up since I woke up extremely congested. Since I finally had a chance, I went to the pharmacy as early as possible to get some nasal allergy spray. Medication prices here are so amazingly low. I had been told this, but the multiple-month supply of spray cost …

Last Monday I fully meant to write a post about my day, but then I got sick. I have been knocked out by a crazy headache and some serious seasonal allergies. I am still not feeling my best, but since I have been out for a week, I need to get back to work and …

A Week in My Life: Sunday

Sundays are my most variable day of the week. Any Sunday I could be at one of the three churches in the parish doing any number of jobs. I rotate between St. Dunstan’s, St. Michael’s, and St. Bride’s for Church on Sundays. Being in a multi-benefice team parish like St. Luke’s in the City means …

Hey, y’all! It has been a while since I wrote an update about my time here in Liverpool. During my first month here I hit the ground running. I arrived the day before Palm Sunday, rode the wave that was holy week, got settled in, and then got right into work. Time flew by and …

I think I will continue to be in awe of this view from my bedroom every single day Camp will always be my escape, my happy place, my home away from home "Hap Birt Car" Now that I have signed the tower the fact that my time at VTS wrapping up (for now) is really settling in. In this mad dash to the end, I am being reminded of how important community is. Sadly I can't post pictures of every single person who has made my time at VTS amazing, but here are some of the dear ones I have taken photos of in moments of joy throughout the year. I have truly felt God's unconditional love through each and every one of these people this year. While my year has been far from perfect, I am so glad that God allowed our paths to cross even if it was just for a short time. I am so excited to wander on to whatever God has in store for me next. First day of fall term ✅ This is definitely not how I thought these amazing four years would end, but I am still so happy to have made it!! I am done with my International Studies degree at WVU and in the fall I will be starting grad school at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA. I am beyond excited to start this new chapter in my life! Today felt like a good day for some change "With color one obtains an energy that seems to stem from witchcraft.” ~Henri Matisse I have descerned that I am going to miss y'all way too much!
