Young Adult Service Corps
“The Young Adult Service Corps is a ministry for Episcopalians ages 21-30 who are interested in exploring their faith in new ways by living and serving in communities around the worldwide Anglican Communion”
The Young Adult Service Corps (YASC) is an amazing opportunity for me to go out into the world to form new relationships and help strengthen existing ties. Although Covid-19 has repetitively delayed my assignment as a YASCer, I am so excited to finally be on my way to Liverpool in 2022.
Triangle of Hope / Tsdaqah
“The triangle of hope is a covenantal community dedicated to transforming the long history, ongoing effects, and continuing presence of slavery in our world through Repentance, Reconciliation, and Mission”
This program is a relationship between The Diocese of Kumasi, Ghana, the Diocese of Liverpool, UK, and the Diocese of Virginia, USA. As part of this relationship, Tsedaqah was formed as a missional community for young adults from the triangle of hope to live as an intentional community together. I will not be the first or only YASCer living in the house, but I will be the first representative of the Diocese of Virginia to live in the Tsedaqah community.
